Mrs. Julia Mae Dunn, 86, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2004 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native and lifetime resident of Century. She was the oldest member of Century United Methodist Church and owner/operator of Julia's Beauty Shop for 45 years. She was preceded in death by husband of 55 years, George Wilson Dunn; three sisters, Evlynne Deane, Myrtle Connolly and Mildred Vapolsky; a brother, Max Garrett and a granddaughter.
She is survived by two sons, Michael R. Dunn of Gulf Breeze and Lamar W. Dunn of Pensacola; a sister, Thelma Wadkins of Century and a grandson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. at Century United Methodist Church with Dr. Pete Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at McCurdy Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be William Pugh, Raymond Rydzowski, Sonny Jeter, Rodney Dunn, Reggie Dunn, David Dunn, Edward Deane, David Deane, Ron Wadkins and Gary Wadkins.
