Ret. SSGT Rethanal "Johnnie Lee" Reynolds, 78, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at his residence. He was a native and life-long resident of Atmore. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and had worked as a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta L. Reynolds.
He is survived by three daughters, Emily A. Thames and Jacqueline Peterson, both of Atmore and Lora Collins of Birmingham; two sons, Herman T. Montgomery of Bronx, N.Y. and Deschazo Reynolds of Oklahoma; two sisters, Ann Ruth Johnson of El Paso, Texas and Florestine Jackson of Ill.; three brothers, Allen Reynolds of Denver, Col., Charles Reynolds of Milwaukee, Wis. and Volley L. Reynolds of Atmore; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, from 1 until 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. at Jones Street Holiness Church in Atmore with Bishop Willie L. Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
