Mrs. Effie Tell Jones, 79, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004 at a Crestview, Fla. nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Dixonville and a life-long resident of Brewton. She was a retired nurse's aid and was a member of the Fidelis Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Bruce Jones of Elizabethton, Tenn.; a daughter, Nora Lee Jones Morgan of Brewton; a sister, Grace Shell of Niceville, Fla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barbara Trumbull officiating. Burial followed at Jay Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Larry Shell, Merrill Shell, Mitchell Pace, Jimmy Pace, Pete Thompson and Mike Morgan.
