Mrs. Mary A. Davis, 61, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004. She was a long-time resident of Jay and a nursing assistant for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Ann Hadley.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Lee Colbert of Atmore; her husband of 32 years, Calvin G. Davis of Jay; a son, Curley Davis of Brewton; a brother, Houston Colbert of Morgan City, La.; four sisters, Susie Colbert, Dottie Padgett, Annie Bos and Ora Mattson, all of Atmore; two nieces and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home with Johnny Burkhead officiating. Burial will follow at Jay City Cemetery with Jay Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Todd Burgess, Al Gavin, Wayne Gavin, Jason Campbell, Scott Blackmon and Hugh Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Commander, Don Gavin, Sheppard Hicks, Roy Emmitt, Jeff Turner, Billy Bray, Jeff Johnson, Keith Cannon and Chubby Haveard.
