Mrs. Myrtle McTier Johnson, 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004. She was a native of Montgomery and a resident of Brewton for many years. She was a graduate of Alabama State University and a teacher in the Brewton School System for more than 30 years. She was a very active member of Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeno Johnson Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Oneal Johnson Sr. of Houston, Texas and Zeno Johnson Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Bertie McDuffie of Montgomery; two brothers, Jonathan McTier and Earl McTier, both of Waterbury, Conn.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Springhill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
