I would like to give a special thanks to Ray Madden, Brewton Utility Superintendent, for his acts of kindness and bravery during my recent accident on Hwy. 31, his quick attempt to get to me and reassure me that everything would be all right. He stayed with me until EMS arrived and never left me. He kept talking to me and made sure I never lost consciousness. Many times we pass by accidents on our way to various destinations and never take the time to lend a hand or make sure that a person is all right.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24, I was blessed that Ray Madden, Chip Peach and some other lady unknown to me were passing down that highway that day, as I hydroplaned across Hwy. 31 into a ravine, and ended up running into a tree. My life flashed before me, as I was so truly blessed to be alive with minor injuries.
Thank you God for saving me, and thank you Ray, Chip and the young lady for stopping and coming to my rescue. Thank you all for caring. A special thanks to EMS, Brewton Police Department and Regina Watson for their prompt attention and excellent service.
May God bless all of you and your families.
Thank you again,
Nettie Barton
