Mrs. Ruth King, 96, died Thursday, March 4, 2004 in a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Falkville, Ala., a long time resident of Birmingham and a resident of Brewton for the past seven years. She was a member of First Christian Church of Birmingham and a retired secretary.
She is survived by a sister, Dixie Meads of Brewton; three nieces, Carol Fountain of East Brewton, Paula Henderson of Birmingham and Sue Carol Satterfield of Montgomery and many other relatives.
Graveside services were held Saturday, March 6, at 2 p.m. at Faulkville Cemetery with Rev. Don Henderson and Rev. Jimmy Henderson officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
