Mr. Willie Eliege Fountain Jr.,70, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at his residence. He was a native of Monroe County and had lived in the Brewton area most of his life. He was a brick maker by trade and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Fountain of New York; a stepdaughter, Vivian Washington of New York; a brother, Jessie Fountain of Brewton; four sisters, Beulah Dortch, Shirley Fountain and Mary Fountain, all of Brewton and Carolyn Fountain of New York; two grandchildren and a number of friends and relatives including a devoted friend, Edna Jackson of East Brewton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 20, at 11 p.m. at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. W.J. Dailey officiating. Burial followed at Antioch Cemetery in Tunnel Springs, Ala. with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Chris Fountain, Darriu Fountain, Donald Fountain, Gary Jackson, Willie C. Jackson and Jimmy Dortch.
