Mrs. Allean Thompson Edwards, 97, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Wallace and a life-time resident of Escambia County, Ala. She attended East Brewton Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Malcolm Edwards of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Doris King of Greenville, S.C.; one brother, Elbert Thompson of Wallace; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Rev. Donnie Parker and Rev. Joel Brister officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
