Christopher A. Baggett, 25, of Brewton was killed Thursday in a motorcycle accident on Foshee Road less than half a mile from Hwy. 31.
About 5 p.m., while eastbound on Foshee Road, Baggett lost control of his 2003 Suzuki motorcycle, went off the road and back onto the pavement where he struck a truck driven by Ricky E. Stallworth. Baggett sustained injuries that resulted in his death, but Stallworth was not injured.
Escambia County Sheriff's officers and Alabama State Troopers reported to the scene. Trooper Jimmy Dean is the lead investigator of the incident.
Baggett's body was taken to the State Department of Forensic Science in Mobile for an autopsy.
