Ms. Melba Jeanette Boone, 71, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 in Nokomis. She was a native of Little River, a former resident of Palmyra, Va. and a resident of Atmore for the past seven years. She was a former employee of Monsanto and was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Pinter.
She is survived by seven brothers, Clayton Boone, Kenneth David Boone, Leroy Boone, John Daniel Boone and Joseph Michael Boone, all of Little River, George Boone of Atmore and Bernard Boone, Jr. of Charlottesville, Va.; five sisters, Alma Woods of Atmore, Martha Holder of Pensacola, Donna Harry of Charlottesville, June Katherine Godwin of Little River and Delilah Jean Denzio of Palmyra, Va. and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 9, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10 at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Cornelius Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Mamie's Chapel Cemetery.
