Mr. John David Brown, 72, of Monroeville died Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and former resident of Brewton and a former resident of Indianapolis, Ind. before moving to Monroeville 14 years ago. He was employed with Grove Hill Hospital as a lab technician and a United States Army veteran having served in World War II. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by two sisters, Annie Cook of Brewton and Clara Ebert of Columbus, Ind.; a brother, Adrian Brown of Dayton, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 13, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Finklea officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
