The Phillies remained on top of the Brewton Babe Ruth standings with their second straight 3-0 week.
Phils pitcher Baxley Raines turned in the first no-hitter of the summer with an 18-strikeout performance in an 11-4 victory over the Expos.
Phillies 11, Expos 4
Baxley Raines turned in the league's most dominating pitching performance of the season in the Phillies win.
Raines tossed a no-hitter and 18 of the 21 outs he recorded came by strikeouts. He also helped his cause at the plate where he had a single, a double and two RBIs.
Allen Williams added a pair of singles to the Phillies cause. Corey Williams had a double and three RBIs. Stephen Matthews had a single, a double and two RBIs. Nykeem Barton and Jimmy Conner both had a single. Wesley Booker had a pair of singles and an RBI.
Becker Denton scored a pair of runs to pace the Expos.
Pirates 7, Astros 6
The Pirates erased a 6-5 Astros advantage with the tying and go-ahead runs in the fifth inning.
Chris Griffin led the Pirates with a pair of singles and three RBIs. Evan Burkett, Jake Smith and Sam Sharpe all had a single. Jake Dixon had a single and an RBI.
The Astros got a single and a double from Jared Cooper. Brandon Odom, John Mathieu and Brandon Winchester all had a single.
Will Waters went the distance to get the win for the Astros, as he scattered five hits and struck out eight.
Rockies 12, Padres 5
A six-run second inning carried the Rockies to the victory.
Chase Crosby sparked the Rockies' offense with a single, a double, a triple and an RBI. Aaron Nelson and James Hamric both had a pair of singles. Kendall Land had a single, a double and three RBIs. Jacob Cannon and Casey Butts both had a single. Mackie Jackson had a single and an RBI. Brackin Davis drove in one run.
The Padres got a pair of singles and an RBI from Jimmy Jones. Tyler Brown had a single and an RBI. Jamar Travis, Matt Hamric and Roy Brown all had a single.
