Mrs. Bertha Jones Carroll, 93, of Flomaton died Monday, May 17, 2004 in a local nursing facility. She was a native of Santa Rosa County but had been a member of the Flomaton community for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Atmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Carroll and her son, Charles T. Carroll.
She is survived by two sons, Joe M. White of Virginia Beach, Va. and Irwin "Billy" Westheimer of Jackson, Miss.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Glen Wardrop officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Joe M. White Jr., Daniel E. White, Irwin R. Westheimer, Deron Westheimer, Thomas Lasater II and Paul S. Nedwick.
