The Brewton Reds' fifth seed may have been the lowest left in the Age 11-12 tournament, but they entered Tuesday's semifinal as perhaps the hottest team.
That trend of success continued when the Reds upended the top-seeded Brewton Indians 10-7. The Indians had won the Brewton regular season championship.
The Reds led from start to finish, as they jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings and had as much as an 8-2 lead headed into the bottom of the fourth inning.
The Indians made a late rally, as a four-run uprising in the bottom of the fourth inning cut the lead to just 8-6. That would be as close as the Tribe would get.

fourth inning.
Nick Etheridge also had a key hit in the game, an RBI double in the fourth inning. Jon Jones had an RBI single and Spencer Waldrep drew a bases loaded walk.
The Indians were held to just three hits by the Reds' pitching trio of Cody Swain, Jones and Robert Knowles.
Royals (B) 17, Cardinals (EB) 1
The Royals made it a long night for East Brewton's regular season Age 11-12 champions, as they needed just four innings to advance to the title game.
The Royals got all the offense they needed with a four-run top of the first inning. However, an 11-run second inning where they sent 15 batters to the plate secured the outcome.
The Royals got a single, a triple and an RBI from Stephen Warren. Corey Rilling also had a triple, while James Matthews and Austin Collins both had singles.
Ryland Dixon started on the mound for the Royals and went the first three innings for the win.
The Cardinals got singles from Dodson Herrington, Cody Bradley and Austin Redash.
