Awards given at Mini-Roundup

The Brewton Ag Science Auditorium was magical transformed into 4-H Land recently as area 4-H'ers and youth celebrated the 2004 4-H Mini Roundup (Awards Program).
The first place winner in each Division will represent Escambia County at the 4-H District Roundup in Evergreen. This event will take place on June 10th.
Taking home grand prizes and the event s they participated in were the following:
Junior Baked Foods Exhibit (Peanut Butter Cookies and poster)
1st place -- Allie Rush, Cornerstone Christian School; 2nd place -- Lauren Kirkland, Atmore First Assembly of God School; 3rd place -- Katie Arrant, Pollard McCall School.
Senior Decorated Cakes and poster
1st place -- Kristin Larrimore, Atmore First Assembly School; 2nd place -- Carol Harden, Flomaton High School.
Junior Beef Cook-Off
1st place -- Allie Rush, Cornerstone Christian School; 2nd place -- Lauren Kirkland, Atmore First Assembly of God School; 3rd place -- Kandice Larrimore, Atmore First Assembly of God School.
Electric Demonstration
1st place, Junior Division -- Kandice Larrimore, Atmore First Assembly of God School; 1st place, Senior Division -- Kristin Larrimore, Atmore First Assembly of God School.

Public Speaking

Woodworking Project
1st place -- Katie Arrant, Pollard McCall School; 2nd place --Brittany Evans, Pollard McCall School; tied for 3rd place -- Sarah Steele and Johnathan Maxwell, Pollard McCall School.
Dairy Poster Contest
1st place -- Amber Nelson, Brewton Elementary School; 2nd place -- Blakelee White, Pollard McCall School; 3rd place -- Elizabeth Althauser, Brewton Elementary School.
Each first place winner will compete against 4-H'ers from 10 surrounding counties at 4-H District Roundup which will be held at Highcrest High School. This event will be held in Evergreen on June 10th.
