Elizabeth Fitzgerald Parker

Mrs. Elizabeth Fitzgerald Parker, 87, died Friday, June 4, 2004 at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Greenville and former resident of Marion before moving to Brewton in 1960. She was a retired school teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Parker Sr.; a son, Gerald Parker; two sisters, Martha Pearson and Dot Davis and a brother, Emmitt Fitzgerald Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Parker of Jacksonville, Ala. and Ernie Parker of Pace, Fla.; two daughters, Susan Crawford of Brewton and Barbara Kriskovich of Spotsylvania, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Yieng Parker of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Vivian Carre and Estelle Nicholson, both of Mobile; 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 6 at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Daniel and Rev. Frank Scott officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
