Sheriff concludes two weeks of Click-it or Ticket

On Sunday, June 6, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office concluded their "Click-it or Ticket" enforcement.
According to Major Mike Murphy. the two-week enforcement began on May 24.
The following tickets were issued from May 24 to June 6: no seat belt -- 154; no insurance -- 5; speeding -- 3; no driver's license -- 3; suspended/revoked license -- 9; open container -- 3; no tag -- 4; child restraint violation -- 1; felony warrants served -- 2; and misdemeanor warrants served --2.
In addition to the 186 tickets issued, 134 warning tickets were issued for a variety of violations. All funding that covered the enforcement was provided by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs through the "Click-it or Ticket" grant administered by the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.
