Jamnital Lanay Brazile, 19, of Brewton, died Sunday night when her car ran off the road and into a pond on Lee Rd. in Escambia County.
The accident occurred at about 11 p.m. Sunday night, according to Alabama State Troopers. When the 1993 Chevrolet Brazile was driving ran off the road, it overturned in the pond, trapping her inside.
The car was spotted by another motorist at about 5:45 a.m. Monday morning. That motorist called the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, which then contacted Alabama State Troopers.
Trooper Willie Locke is the officer investigating the incident.
