W.S. Neal High School will be hosting an All-Star Sports Camp July 26-29.
The camp, which is for incoming first through eighth graders, is actually a combined baseball/football camp.
On Day One and Day Three of the camp, football practice will be held at the Old Game Field and practice fields from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lunch will be held in the school cafeteria from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Baseball practice will held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Blue Eagle Field. Players will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m. (grades 1-4 in the gym and 5-8 at the baseball field).
Registration will be held the first day from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the W.S. Neal Gymnasium. Those who have pre-registered should also report to the gym.
On Day Two and Day Four, players should report to the baseball field at 8:45 a.m. Baseball practice will be held at the Blue Eagle Field from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Football practice will be held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Players will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m. (grades 1-4 in the gym and grades 5-8 at the football field).
Camp directors are W.S. Neal football coach Shane Smothers and W.S. Neal baseball coach Coy Campbell. They will be assisted by local coaches and players.
The cost to attend the camp is $50. Add $25 per participant for families with more than one participant. Pre-registration deadline is Friday.
Registration after Friday will be $60. Add $30 per participant for families with more than one participant.
The cost includes a camp t-shirt for each participant who registers by Friday. Those who pay later will be given a t-shirt if available.
Participants should wear proper attire such as hat, t-shirt, gym shorts, socks and gym shoes. Participants will need to bring their own baseball equipment including pants (except for balls). No equipment is needed for football except for cleats.

T.R. Miller will open its six-game season September 7 at Monroe County. It will then travel to W.S. Neal on September 13.
The Tigers will play their home opener September 20 against Monroe County followed by a September 27 home contest against Andalusia. T.R. Miller's final home game is October 4 against W.S. Neal. The Tigers will close out the season October 11 at Andalusia.
B team games are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
Brewton Middle School has also announced its football schedule for the 2004 season.
The Tigers will begin play with a trip to W.S. Neal on September 2 followed by a trip to Escambia County on September 9.
BMS' home opener will be September 16 against Monroe County followed by a home date against Flomaton September 23.
The Tigers will play their final road game of the season September 30 at Carver.
Brewton closes out its season with three straight home games against Andalusia on October 7, Jay on October 14 and W.S. Neal on October 19.
BMS' games are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The Brewton American Legion Post 79 baseball team has received its pairings for this weekend's Gator Classic in Pensacola.
Brewton's first game will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Penscaola Catholic High School against Catholic.
Post 79 plays two games Saturday. The first contest is slated for 9 a.m. at Tate High School against Daphne. Brewton will then take on Brookwood at 2 p.m. at Catholic High School.
Post 79's final game of the tournament will be Sunday at 7 p.m. against Robbie's Sporting Goods at Catholic High School.
W.S. Neal Blue Eagles football coach Shane Smothers used his golfing skills to win the closest to the pin competition at the recent Pigskin Classic Tournament held at Greenville.
The tournament consisted of more than 40 area coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists and athletic trainers.
