On behalf of the Brewton Little League 9-10 year old All Star team, coaches and players, we would like to take this opportunity to offer our thanks and appreciation to the city of Brewton for their financial support, to the Brewton Little League board for their organization, to the parents of each player for their time and sacrifice, to the fans who continued to follow us and cheer us on, and to Tony Smith, our league president, for his continued hard work and effort as a volunteer to make Brewton Little League the best it can be. Without this support and encouragement from the community, our success as a team could not have happened. We would again like to thank the parents of these outstanding boys for giving us the special privilege as coaches to be involved in their lives in this great game of baseball. We also would like to thank WEBJ for covering our games.
Most of all, we as coaches would like to thank you players and recognize you for your hard work, perseverance, unity as a team and great attitudes to achieve something that no one can ever take away from you for a lifetime, 2004 Alabama District Five, 9-10 year old Little League Champions. Because of your hard work and never giving up, you reached your goal as each one of you contributed every game for each win. Now we will go and represent District 5 in the Alabama state playoffs July 10 in Mobile at 7:30 against Choctaw County at Cottage Hill Park. We need the community's continued support as we continue to work hard to be the best we can be to be successful there as well.
