After serving for three terms on East Brewton's City Council, Huey Johnson has announced his qualification to run for a fourth term.
Johnson cites the contruction of the new shopping center, the opening of Fred's, the new civic center and progress on the new baseball complex as examples of the direction East Brewton is moving in.
Johnson was born in Damascus, Ala. and has lived in East Brewton for 30 years.
He and his wife of 39 years, Peggy, have three children -- Billy Johnson, Charlotte Elliott and Lisa McGraw -- and seven grandchildren.
