Mrs. Altha Mae Travis, 81, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at a local hospital. She was a native of Santa Rosa County, Fla. and a resident of East Brewton since 1956, coming from Gainesville, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dixonville Community of Christ Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony C. Travis.
She is survived by her husband, John Calvin Travis of East Brewton; four daughters, Deli Steadman and Kathy Kirby, both of East Brewton, Linda Singleton of Marietta, Ga. and Elizabeth Salter of Brewton; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 20, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Elder Wayne Morris and Elder Ed Ward officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
