Mrs. Ida Posey, 76, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Holt, Fla., a former resident of Pensacola for 36 years and a resident of Baker. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God where she taught Sunday school.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Cleavy Posy of Baker; a son, Cleavy Posey Jr. of Milton, Fla.; three daughters, Joyce Garrett of Cantonment, Marsha Johns of Crestview, Fla. and Jennifer Howard of Brewton; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24, at 4 p.m. at Holt Assembly of God. Burial followed at New Holt Cemetery with Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home of Crestview directing.
