Dunaway seeks re-election to Brewton City Council

Dennis Dunaway has qualified for re-election for the District 1 seat on the Brewton City Council. Dunaway has served the citizens of District 1 and the city for the past eight years, having been elected for one term and having run unopposed in his second term.
On August 24th the people of District 1 will make a decision for a candidate they want to represent them for the next four years. "I can only promise, as I have in the past, that your needs and concerns will be my needs and concerns, if I am re-elected," Councilman Dunaway said.
Dunaway is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He served two years as Director of Student Sports at the university. A former football and baseball coach and teacher, he has been in sales and business management for the past 25 years.
Dunaway is a member of the First Baptist Church of Brewton and was selected this past year to serve on the Escambia County Drug Council. He is currently employed at Brewton Broadcasting (WEBJ-1240AM), where he serves as general manager.
Dunaway is married to Janet Monk Dunaway who works for Judge Dave Jordan as a judicial assistant and has one daughter, Chandler, who is a teacher at T.R. Miller High School
