Mr. Felix Theodore Humphrey III, 60, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of River Rouge, Mich. He was educated in Brewton at Booker T. Washington High School where he graduated in 1962. He later earned an associate degree in Detroit, Mich. He was a member of the U.S. Army for two years and was employed with Sky Chef Catering Company in Detroit where he retired. He was a member of Second St. Siloam Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father, Felix Theodore Humphrey II of Detroit; two sons, James Fitzgerald Humphrey and Darryl Keith Humphrey, both of Detroit; three brothers, James Humphrey of Bedford Heights, Ohio, Samuel Humphrey of San Diego, Calif. and Mark Humphrey of Detroit; seven sisters, Vivian Thomas and Jacqueline Blue, both of Brewton, Chello Humphrey of Port Huron, Mich., Maxine Adams of Norfolk, Va., Sophia Robinson and Nadia Humphrey, both of Detroit and Felicia Watson of Virginia Beach, Va.; an aunt, Ruth Lockhart of Brewton; an uncle, Albert Humphrey of Charleston, S.C. and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at Second St. Siloam Baptist Church with Pastor Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Bergen Memorial Chapel Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
