If the world keeps turning, Christmas will come, as evidenced by the merchandise appearing in local department stores and the opportunity area residents have to choose the art work for Brewton's first community Christmas card.
The four submitted entries currently are on display at The Cracked Pot, where voting continues through Oct. 15. For those who want a sneak preview, a photograph of the four entries appears on Page 15 of today's edition of The Brewton Standard.
Most among us have been distracted and are still "off track" as a result of the havoc left when Hurricane Ivan passed through town three weeks ago. Those who came here to help us recover, learned what we have long known: Ours is a charming, caring community.
