Mrs. Clara Myrtle Cox, 87, of Gillis Street, East Brewton, Ala., died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, in a Century, Fla., nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Chatom and a longtime resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a member of Rock Hill Assembly of God Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Noah Hutchcraft of Austin Town, Ohio; two daughters, Clara Billingsley of East Brewton, Ala., and Christine Jackson of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Flossie Jackson of Stockton, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
Funeral services for were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Adams and the Rev. Donald Ray Biggs officiating. Burial followed in Brown Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
