Mrs. Elizabeth Deuel Holland, 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in a local healthcare facility. She was a native of Berkley, Calif., and had lived most of her life in Castleberry. She taught math at T. R. Miller High School and Conecuh County High School. She was a member of the Castleberry United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thomas Holland.
She is survived by three sons, Tommy Holland of Baton Rouge, La. and James Holland and Homer Holland, both of Castleberry; two brothers, Homer Deuel Jr. of Malone, Fla. and Charley Deuel of Mobile; two sisters, Gwen Fowler of Fritch, Texas and Charmain Pope of Castleberry and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 16, at 3 p.m. at Castleberry United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Tommy Holland, James Holland, Homer Holland, Richard Holland, Travis Holland, Larry Fussell, Brooks Fussell and Earl Bracken.
