Mrs. Thelma A. Nelson, 90, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Brewton area. She worked as a sales clerk for Carp's Clothing Store for a number of years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of East Brewton and was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Nelson.
She is survived by three daughters, Ronice Boatwright of East Brewton, Jan Lai of Brewton and Judy Monti of Cantonment; a brother, James Allen Wilson; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of East Brewton with the Rev. Lawson Jolly officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
