The City of Brewton will hold its 13th annual Blueberry Drop this Friday, New Year's Eve.
Events begin at 9 p.m. with the New Orleans-based Sha'On and the Girls of Success providing entertainment. The band, popular among New Orleans mystic societies for Mardi Gras balls, is hyped for its Motown sound
The band will perform in the city park behind the message center.
The giant blueberry will drop from the message center at midnight, and fireworks will follow, ringing in 2005.
