Maxine Rhodes Fuqua, age 76, of Fuqua Road, Brewton, Ala., passes away suddenly Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala., and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by one son, Wayne "Cooter" (Evelyn) Fuqua of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Joyce Fuqua (Leland) Grace of Repton, Ala.; one brother, Harold Rhodes of Houston, Texas; one sister, Jeanette Fuqua of Brewton; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Shelly, the Rev. Thirl Fuqua and the Rev. Mike Stacey officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery, Bethel, Ala., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton officiating.
