Mr. Rupert Mason Jordan, 81, of East Brewton, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. He was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WW II, and retired from Monsanto with 32 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Bettie Jo Lawless Jordan of East Brewton; two sons, Randy Jordan of Brewton and Rusty Jordan of East Brewton; one sister, Peggy Blackburn of Atmore; and one granddaughter, Courtney Jordan.
Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. at Green Acres Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Fitts, the Rev. John Finklea and the Rev. Ron Headley officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
