Music, mass choir great way to build harmony
Already, 105 people are "on-board" with an effort to build a community mass choir that organizers hope will help build harmony in the community.
Led by Rick Gates of First Baptist, the effort already has the support of a number of co-directors, including Ronnie Herrington of First Baptist Church East Brewton, Pattie Neal of First Presbyterian, Chad Bell of North Brewton Baptist Church, Connie Rush of Cornerstone Community Church, Schwayn Bradley of Ministries and Fellowship of Christ the King, and Old Springhill Primitive Baptist Church and North Brewton Baptist Church.
It is a massive undertaking that will require devotion and hours of practice from those participating, but will improve our community in numerous ways. First, having different "communities" of churches come together helps us all get to know one another better, leading to improved unity on future projects. Secondly, the public at large will have the awesome opportunity to enjoy their performance.
We salute the directors and singers for their commitment to this project.
