Mr. Benjamin Raymond Sheffield, 60, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, in a Mobile hospital. He was a native and former resident of Mobile and a resident of Brewton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam. He attended Reid State Technical College and Jefferson Davis Community College to become a practical nurse. He was employed with health care facilities in Atmore.
He is survived by a brother, Pete Sheffield of East Brewton; four sisters, Mary Madsen and Gladys Frederick, both of Brewton, Elizabeth Pittman of Montgomery, and Laura Barrickman of East Brewton.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Jan. 23, at Ridge Road Baptist Church with Krista Lewis officiating and Pinecrest Funeral Home of Mobile, directing.
