Mr. Ed Phillip Schad, 76, of Holmes Avenue, East Brewton, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was a member of South Bethel Church of God and retired from the City of Brewton Gas and Water Department.
He is survived by his wife, Rushie Hawthorne Schad of East Brewton; a daughter, Gayle Schad (Bobby) Reeves of Castleberry; a step-daughter, Faye (Ken) Simoneau of Milton, Fla.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Pettis and Bro. Charles Scott officiating. Burial followed at Ft. Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
