Mr. Alvin Herman Pugh, 85, died Sunday, March 11, 2005, at his Brewton residence. He was a native and life-long resident of the Brewton area. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. He retired from St. Regis Paper Company after many years of service and was a member of Appleton First Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Mae Pugh of Brewton; two sons, Lenden Pugh of Brewton and Tony (Helen) Pugh of Castleberry; a daughter, Jean (Jerry) Windham of Brewton; three sisters, Gracie Davis of Pensacola, Fla., Lillie Hammac of Mobile, and Myrtle Nix of Brewton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Renfroe and the Rev. Steve Pettis officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
