Barnett Crossroads
Mrs. Linda Armstrong Smith, 52, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, in Brewton. She was a native of Repton and a resident of Barnett Crossroads for the past 23 years. She was the treasurer of the Liberty Baptist Church in Pineview and was preceded in death by her mother, Melba Lee Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband, James Smith of Barnett Crossroads; her father, George Armstrong of Repton; a son, Todd Smith of Birmingham; a daughter, Tara Smith (Gary) Hollinger of Barnett Crossroads; a sister, Debbie Waters of Excel, and two grandchildren, Dawson "Termite" Hollinger and Colby "Tootie Bell" Hollinger.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Richburg and the Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Josh Bell, Robert Grissett, Zach Richburg, Bo Booker, Robert Gumapac and Rusty Carden. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Bell, Steve Smith and Jerry Waters.
