Mr. Willard R. Fuqua, 78, died Sunday, May 15, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a native of Brewton and a former resident of Venice, Fla. before moving back to Brewton in 1979. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. He owned his own extermination company and was a member of Bethel Community Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Fuqua of Brewton; five sons, Jeffrey Fuqua of St. Petersburg, Fla., Donald Fuqua of Venice, Fla., Edward Fuqua of Sarasota, Fla., Jerry Morris of Springhill, Fla. and Michael Morris of Brewton; three daughters, Donna Agabani of Sarasota and Karen Weaver and Sandra Tucker, both of Brewton; one brother, Alton Fuqua of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Esther Halford of Pensacola; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 18, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bro. John Kemp and Bro. Paul Shelly officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
