T.R. Miller Tigers football coach Jamie Riggs has a checklist of things his players will be doing this summer.
Oh, Riggs also has plenty of football summer work lined up for his players and staff.
Perhaps the biggest highlight for the Tigers comes later this week when about 35 to 40 team members will participate in the University of Alabama Seven-on-Seven Camp.
While the Tigers will take advantage of the new Alabama High School Athletic Association's rule change that now allows seven team competition days, Riggs said he does not favor the switch.
The Tigers will usually work out two days a week, Mondays and Thursday, during the summer.
The T.R. Miller coach said his program's summer outdoor routine has changed some in recent years.
Riggs said while his team will do some special teams work this summer, that part will be minimal.
The weight room work will consist of most bench work, squats and upper body lifts.
Workouts for incoming freshman as well as Brewton Middle School seventh and eighth grade players get underway June 20.
