This season, summer vegetables are late to grow due to a lack of rain that delayed planting and an over-abundance of rain that stunted plants' growth.
The Porch Pickers, a well-known blue-grass band from Andalusia, plan on entertaining a crowd during a political rally for the Democratic primary. Tickets cost $2.50 per car, and proceeds go to Fort Crawford Park Committee for park improvements.
Jack Fitts, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church, was named an outstanding young man of America.
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church receives a new pipe organ. Two photographs had to be pieced together to show its expansiveness. Elizabeth Low was named organist.
