Mr. Nettie Martin, 100, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at a local hospital. She was a native of Troy and a resident of Bratt for most of her life. She attended Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons, Robert J. Martin and Carl Douglas Martin, both of Bratt, Shirley F. Martin and Bernard Ray Martin, both of Canoe and Carol W. Martin of Atmore; two daughters, Lillie Goldmon of Bayou La Batre, La., and Shelby Jean Hatcher of Atmore; and five generations of grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Randy Martin, Benjamin Martin, Ronnie Martin, Harold Martin, Bobby Martin and Michael Chavers.
