A ribbon cutting was held Tuesday for the new, old-fashioned swinging bridge across Burnt Corn Creek near O'Bannon Park. The bridge was built by the Brewton Kiwanis Club.
Mrs. Evelyn Byrd, president of the Southern Normal Parents and Teachers Association, recently attended the national PTA convention in Hawaii.
