Mr. Clarence Lloyd Dewberry, 92, died Thursday, June 30, 2005, in Brewton. He was a native and life long resident of Conecuh County. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army, and he attended Oak Grove Holiness Church.
He is survived by three sons, Allen Dewberry and Lawrence Dewberry, both of Castleberry and Raymond Raines of McKenzie; four daughters, Jeanette Powell and Diane Lee, both of Castleberry, Ernestine Potts and Brenda Jernigan, both of Brewton; one sister, Velma Sawyer of Castleberry; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services, with military honors, were held Saturday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl McCall and the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
