Mr. Willie Overstreet, 95, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005. He was a native of Wing and had been a resident of the Milton-Pace area since 1956. He was a member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He retired in 1974 from Monsanto Corporation.
He is survived by his four children, John Overstreet of Pensacola, Fla., Ray (Sung he) Overstreet of Clarksville, Tenn., Cheryl (Hank) Eggart of Pace and Judy (Dennis) McNew of Mansfield, Texas; one sister, Linda (Robert) Thompson of Brewton; one brother, Johnny (Pat) Overstreet of Molino, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton with the Rev. Mike Stokes officiating. Burial followed at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Milton. Pallbearers were his nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice in his memory.
