July Fourth celebrations are planned at Fort Crawford Park in East Brewton and O'Bannon Park in Brewton. Festivities at both parks begin early in the morning and include live music and fireworks displays.

U.S. Senator Donald Stewart will be in Brewton July 9, where he will attend a noon dutch treat luncheon at the Holiday Inn. The senator is touring Alabama discussing current issues and answering questions concerning legislation.
