Brewton will kick off the Little League Age 11-year-old state tournament Saturday at Mayfair Park in Huntsville against the Mobile Area representative at 6 p.m.
The Brewton-Mobile game will be one of two first-round games played Saturday that kick off the six-team tournament. The Sylcauga and Sheffield area champions will square off in the tournament's first game Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Huntsville and Gilbertown Area representatives both received byes and will open their respective portions of the tournament on Sunday.
The Huntsville representative will play the Sylcauga-Sheffield winner Sunday at 4 p.m. The Gilbertown representative will play the Brewton-Mobile winner Sunday at 6 p.m.
If Brewton loses its first-round game, it will play again Monday at 8 p.m. in the elimination bracket.
July 16 games
Game one: 4 p.m. Sylcauga Area vs. Sheffield Area
Game two: 6 p.m. Brewton vs. Mobile Area
July 17 games
Game three: 4 p.m. Huntsville Area vs. Sylcauga/Sheffield winner
Game four: 6 p.m. Gilbertown Area vs. Brewton/Mobile winner
July 18 games
Game five: 6 p.m. Sylcauga/Sheffield loser vs. game four loser
Game six: 8 p.m. Brewton/Mobile loser vs. game three loser
July 19 games
Game seven: 6 p.m. game three winner vs. game four winner
Game eight: 8 p.m. gave five winner vs. game six winner
July 20 game
Game nine: 7 p.m. game seven loser vs. game eight winner
July 21 game
Game 10: 7 p.m. game seven winner vs. game nine winner (Championship round game one)
NOTE: date and time has not been announced for a possible second championship game.
