Coleman Edward Kent, 74, died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at his Castleberry residence.
He was a native and life-long resident of Conecuh County. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U.S. Army. He worked for Harold Brothers Veneer Co. for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Kent; three sons, John Edward Kent, James Edward Kent, and Clarence Edward Kent; and by two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Alice Kent of Castleberry; his mother, Bessie Cooper of Castleberry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Edna and Jerone Hester of Roanoke, Ala., Ann and Tony Moore of Woodland, Ala., and Rebecca and James West of Castleberry; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Grady Palmer officiating. Burial followed in New Hopewell Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
