Mr. John Edward Lowery, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005. He was a native of Little Rock, a resident of Escambia County, Ala., and a resident of Atmore for over seven years. He attended the Protestant church.
He is survived by three brothers, Robert (Betty) Lowery of Portal, Ga., Charles A. (Reita) Lowery of Bratt, Fla., and Billy Ray Lowery of Jackson, Fla.; three sisters, Christine Hicks of Mobile, Louise (Sonny) Fore of Flomaton and Bessie Ray (Bill) Wiggins of Pensacola, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were his nephews, Alan Lowery, Bruce Lowery, Daryl Fore, Barney Lowery, John Lowery and Jeremy Lowery.
