Mrs. Neomia L. Osby, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, in a Pensacola hospital. She was a native and resident of Brewton. She was an active member of the First Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Osby, her parents, Jessie Floyd Lovelace and James Henry Lovelace; a son, Fredrick R. Osby and 15 siblings.
She is survived by three sons, Charles (Vera) Edward James of Detroit, Mich., Junious (Ada) James Jr. of Pensacola, Fla., and Willie Frank (Valeria) Osby of Pollard; a sister, Hattie Cordell of Brewton; four brothers, James Henry Lovelace, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; Willie Lovelace of Penscacola, Fla., Berl Lee (Darlene) Lovelace of Silver Springs, Md., and Earnest Lovelace of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at Second Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ruel Floyd officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel Funeral Home directing.
